Help SAM (Severely Acute Malnourished Children)

The PRASAD Project celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.  Because of your contributions, we were able to provide life-altering programs in India, where one-third of the world’s malnourished children live.  The PRASAD Chikitsa’s SAM (Severely Acute Malnourished Children) Program provides nutritional supplements to malnourished infants, toddlers and nursing mothers in India’s Tansa Valley.  After two years of programming, the malnutrition rate of participating children dropped from 43% to 17%.

Another successful partner initiative aimed to end child malnutrition is PRASAD’s Kitchen Gardens, which helps improve food nutrition and provides a small crop for farmers to take to market.  Each year, families are trained in organic farming methods and receive saplings and indigenous vegetable seeds to cultivate.  Currently, nearly 10,000 families are flourishing from PRASAD’s thriving Kitchen Gardens.

Before the end of the year, please consider making a special donation to The PRASAD Project.  To donate, click here or mail a check to the address below.  We appreciate your support.

With gratitude,

Dr. M. Cecilia Escarra
Executive Director
