India is a country brimming with young, educated talent; However, nearly 70% of the population resides in rural areas with limited access to quality education. While government initiatives provide education up to grade 12, financial constraints prevent many of these bright minds from pursuing higher education.
But scholarships are more than just financial aid. They have proven to unlock the potential of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, like Bhakti, a resident of Vajreshwari village, who is a part of this inspiring story.
Bhakti was on the verge of completing her engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. However, her family’s financial struggles made it difficult to cover her academic expenses. Upon learning about PRASAD Chikitsa’s educational assistance program, Bhakti reached out for support and received a scholarship to fund her final year examination fees. With the aid of PRASAD Chikitsa, Bhakti overcame the financial hurdle and excelled on her exam, a testament to the transformative power of these scholarships. Bhakti is now employed at a prominent Mumbai corporation and earning a substantial salary.
A scholarship for one student costs $1,200, and our goal is to raise $24,000 to support 20 students.
